Outdoors

Tarleton Day Nursery is designed to allow continuous play both inside and outdoors. The Nursery and Pre-school classes have free flow asses to the garden the children are encouraged to explore the natural environment by examining the bug hotel, experimenting in the mud kitchen and learning about growing by planting seeds in our vegetable garden. The children are given the opportunity to enhance their physical development by using our climbing equipment and balancing tyres whilst also extending their imagination by performing on our secret stage.

Buttercup and Daisy room have their own outside play area. The area is covered and has a soft surface so the babies can practice their crawling and walking skills. A variety of equipment ensure that the babies have an enjoyable time whilst benefiting from the fresh air.

Where possible the staff take the children to the local park in our ‘Buggy Bus’. They also love going on trips to Tarleton library to choose new books for story time.
